A Diet Designed by Nature: Plant Based Whole Food

A Diet Designed by Nature: Plant Based Whole Food

I have noticed in the past that foods I eat affect my moods for good or bad. And, how we feel affects the clarity of our thinking. In other words, if you eat unhealthy food, you won’t feel good and probably won’t be thinking right. Food affects our sense of well-being.

Eating the wrong foods will affect our energy level leaving us feeling energetic or sluggish. So, watch how your body feels and how it affects your moods after you eat that greasy hamburger, fries or pizza. If anything, you might feel like taking a long nap and sleeping off the affects of all the bad cholesterol.

How we eat also affects our health short-term and long-term. No one can prove he got cancer from eating all that meat in the past or diabetes from all those high fat meals.

‘Many things we’ve heard about health and what we should eat is misleading or totally wrong. In other words, a low-fat diet is not 30% fat, it is more accurately 10% and under that is actually healthier’ ~ your author

Fad diets switch around the amounts of carbs, protein and fat you should eat. But, the truth is that high protein diets are as dangerous as high fat and low carb diets.

For example, high protein diets can lead to kidney failure and osteoporosis. You will also lack energy to exercise, as many of us in the US will die prematurely from the standard American diet we love eating that tastes so good.

We all love fatty, greasy, salty and sugary pastries, meats and all kinds of processed and refined foods. Only one problem with it. It will eventually put us in the hospital for ailments, conditions and diseases. So, we need to stay mindful of the fact that not everything that tastes good is good for us.

‘High-protein intake may lead to increased intraglomerular pressure and glomerular hyperfiltration. This can cause damage to glomerular structure leading to or aggravating chronic kidney disease (CKD) [1 ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/27801685] ‘.

It is a lie that the more protein you eat the healthier you will be. This is promoted by the meat and dairy industries. Absolutely not true. We require a higher carbohydrate, low-fat, low protein diet high in nutrient content.

Plant based whole food will provide both macronutrients (proteins, fats and carbs) and micronutrients (vitamins and minerals) in the exact amounts our bodies require so we don’t even need to think about it. All we need do is simply eat the right foods until we feel full with no portion control.
