Spicy Hot Miso vinegar salad dressing recipe

miso easy, miso soup, fast, japanese

I don’t see how anyone could eat a salad without a dressing on it. But, most dressings either have too much fat or ingredients you can’t pronounce. It’s best, in my opinion, to make your own. They are not too hard to do. It depends upon what flavors you prefer.

We don’t want to eat a bland tasteless diet. No one would stick to a plant based whole food diet if that were so. We all want flavorful meals. And, even though your taste buds will change eventually when you adopt a vegetarian diet, we still need to find ways to make our food taste great for now and later. And, we can and will do so.

‘In the 1930s, a Japanese physician, Minoru Shirota, suggested that the right mix of bacteria in the gut could prevent disease. Miso soup, made from fermented soybean paste, is a staple of the Okinawan diet [1 ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1482314/#S1title]’.

Here’s how I make my Spicy Hot Miso vinegar salad dressing recipe…

  •  I use the ‘Miso and easy’ adding about 1 tablespoon in a small container
  •  A squirt of Huy Fong Foods Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce
  •  Add a dash or tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
  •  A little soy sauce
  •  This recipe is not exact, but to the taste

I use spices, but not too much because you really don’t need much. If you want to use salt and pepper, that’s OK. I am looking for ways to make my food taste better all the time.

Also, having a few ‘tasty’ salad dressings on hand is a good idea to make you look forward to a large green salad everyday. Try adding thinly sliced onion and cabbage on top. They give that added natural flavor.
