If you love cats like I do, you will want to reward them with fresh wheatgrass frequently. I do this all the time and it’s really worth it when you see them sitting there chewing on this healthy supplement. These seeds from ‘Power GrowⓇ’ are certified organic and non-GMO. Check it out…
It’s very easy to make and only takes a few days. Here’s how I do it…
- I have canning jars like the Mason®
- I line the bottom with seeds
- Add water
- Soak for about 8 hours
- Rinse
- Every day you rinse the seeds and drain the bottle
- It helps to keep the bottle at a slight angle so water keeps draining
- I use a painter’s sieve that I screw a lid over
- It looks like a window screen and works fine when rinsing
- Let them grow on your kitchen counter
- It takes a few days (these particular seeds never fail to grow!)
- When they sprout, plant them in a pot in regular planting mulch
- It will grow tall like a lawn and lasts for 2-3 weeks before you need to grow new
- Trim it with scissors when it grows too long
- Water once a week like other household plants
- Your cats will love you for it!
This video below is kind of an advanced one. The way I do it is the ‘no-brainer’ easier version. But, if you are one who wants to get a bit fancy about it, this might just be your perfect how to grow seed video.
