Why You Are Never Too Old To Eat Your Way To Better Health…

senior diet healthy food plant based whole food

This post is actually for anyone, any age. Plant based whole food works for everyone young or old. Go figure how and why different societies and ethnicity created their menus. But, everyone on earth suffers the health consequences of wrong eating. It happens that when you change the food you eat, your taste buds do change their preferences. Really. You eventually learn what the healthier food choice is…

I know from personal experience that hamburgers and fries I used to eat I just can’t stomach anymore. I always go back and test. Maybe, it’s more like test, test, test, and test again. Why?

I don’t want to give up a food group until I’m absolutely sure without a single speck of doubt it’s not good for my health. In addition to that, I like food and want to eat as many varieties of it that I can.

I want to feel full and eat all I want, but I also want to stay healthy, keep my weight maintained and live the longest. That’s precisely why I have finally through the years narrowed things down quite a lot from when I lost my 50 pounds. See how I eat, here.

These are some of the major unhealthful pain triggers you, like I might feel better not eating any or very little of…

  • Citrus fruits
  • Coffee (I do have a cup once in a while)
  • Corn
  • Dairy products (all)
  • No cooking oil (I do use a little olive oil sometimes cooking and on my salad. I chose https://californiaoliveranch.com/)
  • Eggs
  • Meats (all)
  • Nuts (I eat a handful of raw unsalted pistachios)
  • Peanuts and peanut butter
  • Cashews
  • Almonds with the skin
  • Potatoes (I pressure cook these)
  • Tomatoes (I pressure cook these)
  • Wheat, oats, barley, rye (I only eat a few avocado sandwiches a week with toasted sourdough bread)

I can taste food that has too much of the wrong kind of fat. I don’t like the way I can feel the grease cake inside the roof of my mouth and tongue. Before, when I used to eat that way, I never noticed it at all. I didn’t know any better because the truth wasn’t out there like it clearly is now.

Those days are long gone eating pizzas and chicken wings and pitchers of beer. It’s too bad, but that’s the way I know it has to be unless I want to end up with a massive heart attack, stroke, cancer, rheumatoid arthritis and diabetes. I don’t want to die in the hospital. I just don’t want to ‘get dead’; at least, not yet…
