Try This Simple 10 Second Relaxation Technique (It’s Wife Approved!)

10 Second Relaxation Technique

You don’t have to get complicated to meditate. You can learn to relax in this anxiety provoking society as easy as counting down from 10 to 1. I thought I’d devise an easier technique for those who are beginners needing a fast easy way to feel bliss.

‘I have practiced meditation for decades. You don’t need to pay a guru to learn…’!

We all have thoughts that race through our brains and would like to calm them down! And, it’s a proven fact one can achieve this without alcohol or drugs. That’s why I improvised a meditation technique, turning it into a simple relaxation tool.

What Is Meditation?

Meditation is a mind and body practice that has a long history of use for increasing calmness and physical relaxation, improving psychological balance, coping with illness, and enhancing overall health and well-being [1]’.

Here’s how I do 10 Second Relaxation Technique…

  • Put your mental focus on your breathing
  • While at the same time count down from 10 to 1
  • Then, count from 10 to 1
  • Keep focus on breathing
  • I tried this and I felt more relaxed (But, how I usually meditate is focusing on that part of me aware that ‘I am’)
  • Meditation shouldn’t be difficult
  • If you do get tired, take a nap and come back later
  • No big deal!
  • If you want to meditate longer, keep counting while focusing on your breathing!

‘My wife tried this relaxation/meditation technique out yesterday and said it works great. That’s good enough feedback for me. It’s now officially wife approved’!

If you want to try out something interesting along the same lines go and check out, ‘Binaural beats‘. It’s a frequency of sound that may bring you to another place of peace and serenity. You do though, need a headset.

I’ve tried it many times and I like to go to a nice park and sit on a bench in my imagination. It works very well for me, and maybe for you, too. Why not try it, it’s free?
