You have likely heard eating meat isn’t good for you. I have found other animal products aren’t, either. You might be considering stopping eating meat. But, it helps to have good reasons in mind doing so. Why should we stop eating meat and using animal products?
Years ago I didn’t know any better. I don’t have to dig too deep into the details to know reasons why I stopped. I remember in my twenties I used to fire up the Hibachi every night. But, decades later after not eating it I lost my desire.
You have probably heard about the cruelty suffered by chickens, cattle and other animals. If you ever saw a video about the conditions, it might change your mind. We have the butchers do the dirty work so we don’t see. That does not include the green house gasses that affect climate.

Personally, I don’t want animals to suffer anymore just because I like eating them. I love animals. I have pets. I have watched animal videos about all kinds of animals and all they do is love. On the other hand, you can’t say that about all humans can you? Humans do suffer, but at whose hands? From other humans.
I have found that just because something makes one feel good doesn’t make it right. In other words, meat did taste good to me in my past. It doesn’t now. I didn’t know any better, but I do now. I don’t want to cause any suffering for any animal anymore.

There are additives in meat that aren’t healthy. There’s nitrates and hormones. There’s also bad stuff in dairy. I don’t have to get too scientific here, but the research speaks for itself. There is no requirement for animal products in human nutrition.
Plants provide everything we need to thrive. Let’s do our part to make this a better world becoming kinder sparing the lives of all those sweet harmless animals who only give us their love. Plenty of choices in plant based whole food to eat, instead.
