Rumor has it eating starchy food makes us gain weight. Not true at all. There is so much misinformation out there, no wonder everyone (including me) gets confused. Yes, if you slather butter and sour cream on, of course it will add on the pounds not to mention dairy products are not health food.

I used to eat organic potatoes because I learned regular potatoes were sprayed with toxic chemicals. But, I kept getting green potatoes when I bought them organic. So, I went back to regular potatoes and made sure I peeled them. But, when you peel fruits and vegetables you are peeling away nutrients.
I cut my potato consumption down because I felt I might be sensitive to ‘solanine’. But, I still do eat potatoes. I just don’t eat french fries, potato chips or baked potatoes anymore. Why, you ask?
